Alice Abigail Tan
Information Technology Head of Department with over 20 years of regional experience in leading and managing a team of IT managers and executives in IT goal setting, initiatives and support for the organization. Business focused, dynamic, authentic and highly resilient leader.
Currently the IT Director of Watsons Personal Care Stores, Asia’s Largest health and beauty chain stores, Abigail oversees the IT strategic planning, IT applications and infrastructure departments, service delivery and operations management across over 100 storefront island wide. Under her leadership, she has set up an enhanced operation support model, efficient IT helpdesk, improved IT infrastructure and cohesive team structure. She has implemented several systems and initiatives in facilitating enhanced productivity for the business users, store operations and trading partners to support the delivery of better customer service, experience and satisfaction. She is also instrumental in initiating and driving several innovative and value adding collaboration with Info-Communications Media Authority of Singapore (IMDA), Spring Singapore, Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and SingTel in the space of both backend and retail front. Prior to Watsons, she was the Head of IT for Robinsons group of companies which include Robinsons department store, John Little, Marks & Spencer, Costa Coffee.
Abigail has co-authored with 54 other CIOs the book “INSPIRE” led and published by CIO Academy Asia. She has also served as an executive council member in IDeation Edge Asia (2015-2016), planning committee and executive council member in IT Management Association of Singapore (2012-2014), Past President of ITMA Toastmasters Club, District 80 Division U, Marketing (2014-2016).
